![]() The struggle was real this week! It wasn't easy finding time. Let me clarify. It's never easy finding time to do much of anything outside of taking care of the kids, cooking, cleaning, maintaining order, and working full time., let alone make progress on my ORC bedroom update My goal for this week's ORC challenge was to build my vanity. I've always wanted a vanity, but somehow, couldn't envision where it would fit. Our bedroom isn't huge. I managed to move some things around and found the perfect spot! I love the two toned natural/white color as it's neutral and matches pretty much anything. Check out my LikeToKnow.it tab to get details on this vanity! So happy that it finally came to fruition. What do you think?! Check out all the fabulous progress folks are making on the One room challenge blog! Before![]() This is what the space looked like before. It held just one little ottoman and was pretty much blank. I'd say it's been quite the transformation!

![]() One of the tasks I set out for week 2 was to change the artwork in the bedroom. Quite honestly, what I had before were empty frames (ha!) When I purchased them, I fully intended to insert some pics in them, but then time passed and I let them be. So needless to say, having a change there was good. Abstract and geometric wall art have always been my thing and I decided to create my own DIY wall art! I mixed my kid's paint, and just started painting. The good thing is that you cannot mess this up. It's geometric art and it's abstract so just paint shapes of all kinds and use a color palette that matches your décor. I stuck to the neutral colors as that is the mood I am looking to create as you can see from my mood board in the previous blog post. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think! Please visit the one room challenge website here to witness all the beautiful creations everyone is doing! Bedroom Before![]() I've been wanting to do something with my bedroom for some time now and while I've made some changes here and there, I'm really hoping to kick things up a notch. This is my first time participating in One Room Challenge (ORC) and I must admit, I'm nervous! What is the ORC you ask? It is an 8-week challenge where featured designers and guest participants select a room/space they want to re-design. I'm not sure what I got myself into, but what I do know is that I'm most looking forward to seeing all the gorgeous transformations from everyone participating, as well as connecting with new people. I decided to work on my bedroom for this 8-week challenge. We don't have a huge bedroom, but I am most looking forward to creating something special in each corner. I've been wanting to swap out the bed itself and I'm not sure if I'll end up doing so, but it's one option to make a difference in the room. I have some things planned out for this 8-week challenge, but I'm also going with the flow and will assess the vibes as we go. Hope you will follow along on my journey and those of the others who are participating! www.oneroomchallenge.com/orc-blog |
